Feeling the tension pile up through the day? This 2-minute sequence is your body's invitation back to balance. You can do it anywhere.

1. Alignment — the starting point

Sit with your back lightly supported, feet firmly on the floor, shoulders relaxed. Keep your spine long, as if an invisible thread were gently drawing you upward. Close your eyes. Feel yourself present.

2. Breath — the ritual of calm

Inhale deeply through the nose (count to 4). Exhale gently through the mouth (count to 4).

  • Repeat 3 times.
  • With every exhale, imagine the stress leaving your body.

3. Releasing the shoulders

  • Lift: Raise your shoulders up to your ears, hold for 1 second, and drop them with a sigh. Repeat 3 times.
  • Roll: Circle the shoulders slowly forward and backward — 5 rotations in each direction. Feel the space open between your shoulder blades.

4. Neck tilt — the relief

Without forcing, tilt your head gently to the right, bringing the ear toward the shoulder. Hold for 10 seconds. Breathe, then repeat on the left side. Feel the tension melt as the neck lengthens.

Wellbeing tip: when you finish, keep your eyes closed for a few more moments and notice the difference in your breath and mood before returning to your day.
